Hello world! Sorry I have been MIA for the past month. March was busy for us, so let me catch you up a little:
~ We got to meet up with some of my moms family on March 5 for a birthday celebration for my grandfather. He turned 70 :)
~ My little sister turned 21 on March 9! It's so hard to believe. I feel like I just turned 21 myself. (Crazy, that was so almost 4 years ago)
~ I have been helping a cousin plan her sister's bridal shower for next month. I LOVE weddings, so this has been a lot of fun.
~ We celebrated Easter on March 27 like everyone else. But working at our church (my husband leads worship, and I am director of children's ministry) we had lots of extra planning going on.
~ Justin and I took a long weekend trip to Atlanta.
~ Plus my husband took on an intervention job at the school.
~ And of course we have typical daily doings and work :)
So now I am finally able to get back on my blog and do what I love! I hope everyone is enjoying the start of spring! Justin and I are making fun plans for our spring and winter.
This year we decided to make the most of Kentucky! Justin has been to a lot more local destinations than I have. But we both have a ton of festivals and parks that we want to visit. So we decided that this is going to be the year that we take advantage of our "backyard."
We kicked off today with a trip to Cumberland Falls. We both have been there before (me once, him a few times) but neither of us had hiked there. So we decided last night that we would get up and enjoy the day hiking. If you go to Cumberland Falls, hike the Eagle Falls trail! It is so beautiful! We also decided to have lunch at Riverview Restaurant (located inside Dupont lodge). The food was really good, and the view was beautiful!
Do you have any favorite places to visit in Kentucky? If so, give us your input!
I am planning on getting back on track with my blog and hopefully share some of our adventures with you all!
