Summertime

Hello blog world! I have been MIA for 2 months, oops! Needless to say I have not been keeping up with my New Years Resolution of blogging twice a month.Things in our life have been crazy this summer. Let me catch you up a little :)

On May 21, Justin and I were able to attend the wedding of a sweet girl from church. It was one of those weddings that make you feel old because we have watched Beth grow from a young child into a beautiful woman.

Justin and I took a vacation at the end of May. We were lucky enough to get to spend our week away with a couple of Justin's cousins, Sydney and Lindsey. We left on May 29 (our 6th wedding anniversary) and came home on June 4. We spent the week in Florida. It was a mix of vacation and "babymoon."

On June 11 we were honored to watch Sydney marry the man of her dreams! It was a beautiful wedding!

As you remember, at the end of April I let you all know that Justin and I are expecting our first child. At the time we were 14 weeks along; I am happy to announce that we are now 24 weeks along, and we are expecting a Daughter (Kate will be her name) this fall! We are so excited! We had a small gender reveal party with family and our closest friends on June 12.

June 19 was Father's Day. We didn't do a whole lot this year, but it was special to us because even though Kate  isn't here yet, Justin got to celebrate his first Father's Day. I must say, there is nothing better than seeing your best friend and husband turn into a father. I cannot wait for the day I get to see him and Kate together.

June 25 I celebrated my 25 birthday (the "golden" birthday). We decided to take it easy and just enjoy our time together. But Justin did take me to see Finding Dory 3D and out to lunch at Saul Good, YUM!

The Kentucky Hotbrown Pizza is AMAZING!
So is the cheesecake :)

These are just some of the big things we have done this summer. So needless to say, our summer has been busy. We are constantly talking about all of the things we have to get done before Kate arrives. And we are looking forward to getting her nursery together! So far the month of July has been spent "decluttering" the house. With a baby comes a lot stuff, so we are trying to make room now.

So hopefully things will calm down a little, but I am afraid not. With Kate's due date getting closer each passing day, it seems there is always something to be done. But we wouldn't trade any of it for anything!
